Heavyweight cotton and hand-finished prints reward a little care. Washed cold and dried out of the machine, the cloth softens and the graphic stays sharp. Run through heat, both go at once.

By Fabric
Cold wash, inside out, line dry. The weight is what holds the shape - heat is the only thing that takes it away.
Waffle traps water. Reshape flat while damp and dry away from direct sun so the texture stays open.
Wash cold and hang by the waistband, never the hem. Rib recovers on its own; pegs leave marks that stay.
Twill takes a crease. Line dry on a hanger straight out of the machine and the all-over print needs no iron.
Turn inside out to protect the face of the fleece, wash cold, and skip softener - it flattens the pile.
